I’m Mady Hernández — a physics student turned historian of science, always a storyteller.

I hold a BS in Physics from National Autonomous University of Mexico and a PhD in Historical and Social Studies on Science, Medicine, and Scientific Communication from the University of Valencia. I write to recover what time has a tendency to erase: forgotten lives, overlooked voices, lost stories, and the small traces through which ordinary people reveal who they were. A letter in an archive. A photograph whose story was never recorded. A notebook filled with marginalia. A room where someone spent a lifetime thinking. A scientific drawing made by someone whose name history barely remembers.

My fiction and nonfiction grow from the same questions that guide my historical research: What do we choose to remember? What do we allow ourselves to forget? And what might we discover if we look again at the lives history has left at the margins?
